Maintenance • Check overall condition and file any burrs • Remove rust with wire wheel or brush • Clean with warm soapy water • Dry thoroughly • Apply a thin coat of WD40 to any non painted metal surfaces
Safety • Wear appropriate PPE • Minimum of helmet, gloves, and eye protection • Full turnouts and SCBA are required when utilizing tool in an IDLH atmosphere or when gaining entry into a possible IDLH atmosphere • Check surroundings prior to using tool • Ensure the tool is the right tool for the job
