SHS Junior Classical League Events September 8th– Back to School Meeting (3:15 pm) September 22nd– SHS Meet & Greet @ Oliveto’s (6:30 pm) October 18th– Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma (1 – 4 pm) October 30th– Safe Trick or Treat (6 pm) November 15th– OKJCL Mixer & Potluck @ Bishop McGuinness High School (11 am – 3 pm) November 25th– OU Classics Day (*Limited to current & former Latin students) December 18th– Saturnalia Potluck (3:15 pm)

JCL Conventions • March 27th – 28th – OKJCL State Convention @ Westmoore High School • July 27th – August 1st – NJCL National Convention @ Trinity University, San Antonio, TX • Academic contests, artistic contests (Graphic & Creative), athletic contests (Olympica & Ludi), spirit contests, dances, chariot races, certamen, togas & more! tu ne cede malis, sed contra audentiorito.   5. How much? • Dues $10 (SHSJCL, OKJCL, & NJCL + NLHS) • T-Shirts $15 • OU Classics Day $20 (+ lunch) • State Convention $35 • National Convention $1000 (lodging, meals, travel costs, activities)

  6. Competitive Exams • National Classical Etymology Exam ($4, October 17th) • National Latin Exam ($5, January 30th) • National Roman Civilization Exam ($4, January 30th) • National Latin Vocabulary Exam ($4, TBD) • Medusa Mythology Exam ($3, February 7th) • Theme: “Monsters in corporibus”
