  3. REGISTRATION OF DISABILITY PENSIONERS • Medical committee judges the claims • Covers the whole population • There are several disturbing factors • unemployment rate; • definite time at work • one common point: is the person able to perform their work

  4. NATIONAL CENSUSES • Covers the whole population • Long tradition • Number of questions is limited • Only the mental and physical deficiencies and related questions

HEALTH INTERVIEW and OTHER POPULATION SURVEYS • There is no settled system of HIS in the health statistics • 1986: most detailed disability section • 1994: only mental and physical deficiency • 2000: detailed disability section • Time-use survey (1999-2000): only mental and physical deficiency
