  1. Version 2 Allergy Management

  2. Accessing Allergies • The V2 Allergy Management Screen can be accessed in 2 ways. * The Allergies button on the Review Order Screen * The Allergies Order within the Admission Order sets

  3. The Allergies Order Screen will allow users to view historical allergy data on the patient and will also bring the user to the new Version 2 Allergy Management screen

  4. If the user selects to view the historical allergy data, a screen will appear and display the information

  5. The user will then automatically be brought to the V2 Allergy Management Screen

  6. If there are no previous allergies entered, the user will need to enter an allergy. If there are No Known Drug, Food, or Environmental Allergies, select the NKA button

  7. To Enter a NEW Allergy 2. Start to type the name of the allergy until it appears on the screen. Highlight the correct allergy 1. Select the New Button 3. Enter the reaction and severity. *Select OK when finished

  8. Once all the Allergies have been entered – Select the File Button You will be prompted with a Yes/No Confirmation Select Yes to file all changes made to Allergies **This will file your changes and bring you back to the previous screen – Order Set or Review Orders

  9. To EDIT an Allergy Select the Allergy to edit and select the Edit button Select OK and Select the File button

  10. To DELETE an Allergy Highlight the allergy and select the Delete button Select Yes to the confirmation File Changes

  11. No Allergies Warning Message: The message below will appear if there are NO allergy entries within the allergy Management screen. * The user will not be able to file any medication orders until an entry exists *The user must exit out of the screen and update the patient allergies. The user can access the Allergy Management from the Allergies button located on the Review Orders screen.

  13. To Verify an Unverified Allergy 1. Highlight the unverified allergy and select the Verify button 2. The Allergy will update with a Yes in the Verified column. * File the Changes
