The Bamboo Forest Safari Lodge, Tadoba About the Lodge • The Bamboo Forest Safari Lodge is ideally located on the edge of the scenic Maasal Lake (a heaven for bird watchers) on Kolara Road, a mere 10 minutes’ drive from Kolara Gate of Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve. Accessibility: • The nearest rail head and airport is Nagpur which is a 1.5-2 hrs driving distance to the Lodge. Accommodation: 19 Villas and garden Chalets • The villas come with all the trappings of high-end luxury resorts, with its large bed rooms, a large washroom, a powder room, a patio overlooking the lake, private gardens, and an open to sky large bath tub area surrounded by the greens, amongst others. • The rooms in the Chalet are spacious with large bedrooms and washrooms. Jungle Safaris • The safaris in the lodge’s modified Mahindra Scorpio Getaways, are unmatched for comfort by any other vehicle. • The Bamboo Forest Lodge for the first time in India is also introducing a zero impact electronic vehicle dedicated for safari – the Eco-Ranger – in keeping with its commitment towards sustainable ecotourism. • Kolaragate is the closest entry point to the forest from the resort, but safaris can also be conducted from the neighboring Navegaonand Pangdi gates to see and experience different parts of the park. • The newly declared Umred-Kharhandla Tiger Reserve is a mere hour’s drive from the resort and can be explored too. • The area surrounding the resort is also blessed with an amazing array of smaller wildlife, and a nature walk along with the resort naturalists, to see the diverse flora and fauna here, is highly recommended.
