  1. PowerChart Overview TabNew Feature for Physicians

  2. Overview Tab Introduction • The Overview provides physicians with a quick summary of charted data for the selected patient. It is designed to present a summarized view of patient data that has been recorded since the last time the Date/Time Stamp button was clicked. • Similar to a quick check of the chart before seeing the patient, the Overview provides the physician with a summary of critical patient information in one place. • If needed, you can quickly access detailed information for information displayed in the overview by clicking on that item.

  3. Features • Date and Time Stamp – A “bookmarking” feature designed to present a summarized view of patient data that has been recorded since the last time the Date/Time Stamp button was clicked. • Refresh Button – When selected, will update the view to include any items added since the page was loaded. • View Details – When an item is selected, will display detailed information such as order details, result value and status. • Display Filters – Will allow you to define specific subsets of reportable information to display.

  4. What’s on the Overview Tab? The Overview tab provides physicians with a consolidated view of the selected patient’s clinical activity in the below listed sections. Each section can be filtered to include specific data in each category section.

  5. The Refresh Button • When selected will update the Overview display with the most current data for the selected patient . • Refresh does not bookmark or clear data; displayed information is merely updated to reflect additions, status changes and results. • To be sure you are looking at the most recent information, click the Refresh button. When refreshed, the display should read .

  6. Date and Time Stamp • The Date and Time Stamp button provides a visual display of the last time the information was reviewed/bookmarked. • Bookmarking serves as a way to indicate “where you left off.” • If the Overview tab has no indication of a previous Date and Time Stamp, it has never been bookmarked.

  8. Overview Screen – Date & Time Stamped Last Date & Time Stamp When the Overview display is Date and Time Stamped, the data items are cleared. The refreshed display will read “No items found” in each section.

  9. Viewing Detail Sections • To view detail where available , click on the item, the results will display to the right of the screen.

  10. Section Navigation • The Overview tab contains scroll bars in the informational panes to display complete data. • Directional arrow buttons provide the ability to advance to the Next page of data or return to a Previous page. • Display filters allow you to sort the display by specific data criteria.

  11. Filter Options • You can select items to display in each related section so that the Overview display meets your specific needs. • You Add and Remove items as needed. • You can also create a custom filter for each section and save it for reuse by selecting the “Save As” option.
