Euro-Mediterranean Agora • The mission of theEuro-Mediterranean Agora through the use social networking technologies is: • to increase the knowledge-exchange among people in the MED region, • to strengthen participatory democracy in relation to the societal challenges, • to foster mass awareness on role in changing policy processes and outcomes.

Euro-Mediterranean Agora’ (WP4) • is a virtual internet-based platform of discussion on research and innovation • is a “social hub” supporting social dialogue for knowledge-sharing initiatives at the regional-Mediterranean level. • is a place that gathers ideas and experiences through the use of social media for being influential in the research and policy community by leveraging social capital.

  8. Euro-Mediterranean Agora The Agora has been enriched with quality multimedia content produced and elaborated in order to reach a wider public (articles, written interviews; video-interviews). The content covers the activities of the projects, other EU and non-EU-funded projects' activities, and valuable initiatives of civil society.

  11. 1st Euro-Mediterranean Brokerage Event on Research and Innovation • Where: Cairo, 12-13 February 2014 • Who: • Young entrepreneurs/researchers from Europe and Mediterranean countries • MedSpring partners, particularly researcher institutions and research policy makers • Tech-driven enterprises, SMEs and other relevant private/public potential investors/networks • Others (research/networks organizations, etc.) • Why: • To express interests and offers for cooperation and meet other Euro-Mediterranean innovation stakeholders • To get the latest information on H2020 funding opportunities • To present innovative ideas to potential investors from EU-Med Countries.

  12. 1st Euro-Mediterranean Brokerage Eventon Research and Innovation • Participants may attend the event in two ways: • as a potential investor, offering or requesting partnership for projects. In this case they will only have to register on the Euromed Matchmaking Platform (http://www.b2match.eu/euromed). • as a “ideas carrier”. In this case, after reading the call (http://www.b2match.eu/system/euromed/files/MedSP_CallForIdeas.pdf?1381738814) they will have to register on the platform (http://www.b2match.eu/euromed) and send the expression of interest form, downloadable from the same platform. • Proposers can upload a 5 minute video-spot, to illustrate their idea for the attention of the civil society and interested investors.
