  2. About Hungary … • Hungary is a small country in the middle of Europe. The capital city is Budapest.About ten million people live in Hungary. • WeatherIn Hungary the weather is usually good. There are 4 seasons in the country.Thespringis nice, and warm. This season is rainy. This spring was very rainy, and it is a very big problem for the people.Thesummeris very hot, because the sun shines all day long.Everybody goes to Balaton, or they go to the beach. The autumnis the most wonderful season, because the leaves of the trees change their colour from green to brown,red,yellow,and orange. The winter is very cold, because this season is very snowy, but last year there wasn’t too much snow, but it was very cold.

  3. Foods in Hungary • The Hungarians cook fatty, but tasty dishes. For example:-gulash soup-stuffed cabbage-chicken soup (in Újházy style) • Hungarian people usually eat the following foods for breakfast:-butter/jam/honey with bread, and milk/tea/cacao-some ham or sausages, with bakery product, for example: roll or bun.-cereals with milksandwiches with vegetables.You can drink tea with honey with lemon. • For lunch and dinner the Hungarian people usually eat these foods:-stuffed turkey with rice or potato, and salad-stuffed pepper-stew with rise or potato

  4. Greeting in Hungary • Hungarian people say, Hi! Hello! And give two or three kisses on the cheek to my friends. If I meet somebody for the first time, I say: Nice to meet you! See you then! I am happy to meet you! Etc. …Hungarian boys are very polite, because if they meet girls, they • give a present( a bunch of flower, a box of chocolate ).Boys shake hands with each other. If you are polite, when you arrive anywhere, you greet people. WhenI enter my classroom and the teacher is here, I say:Good Morning! Good Afternoon! Bye Bye!

  5. People in Hungary • We usually have got light coloured skin, and hair. They are taller than the Japanese, but smaller than a basketball player. Hungarian people are various, they haven’t got any typical „look like things”. • People here are hospitable, polite, heedless. Hungarian woman are pretty and beautiful. Hungarian men are handsome and muscular. • House in HungaryWe live in a flat or a house.There are lots of blocks of flats many of them are ten-storey buildings but there are some four and three storey buildings too in the housing estates .If somebody lives farther, they usually have a big house with garden. In the garden usually there are some toys for children, and a small flower-garden.

  6. Sport • Hungarian teams are good at handball, waterball, kayak, kenu and swimming and volleyball. They get better and better. They are good at boxing. Hungary is the best at waterpolo all over the world. Football: we are not the best, but we are getting better and better at it. The most famous football player is Ferenc Puskás. He scored a lot of goals in his time. Hungarian people love him, because he is the best man in their eyes.  • TrafficHungarian people drive on the right side and the drivers are good drivers. The people travel by car, bus, trolley-bus, underground, local railway, bicycle, motorbike, roller, tram, train, and fast train. Etc…

  7. DOs and DON’Ts • You mustn’t speak when you are eating.You mustn’t chew gum when you are speaking.In other languages everybody says only: Hello,you!, but in Hungary, for example, when we first meet, we say: Ön,maga… If you enter anywhere, you must greet the people there, and take off your shoes. • ShoppingWe go to the shopping centre and we buy the things we need at home. We go shopping, if we haven’t got enough food or clothes at home. The biggest shopping centres are: Mamut, Outlet, Forum, Korzó, Pláza, etc.There are lots of shops in Hungary, because people like shopping.
