  2. Portuguese National Stage • Target Group • Students from high and professionals schools, public and private; • Ages between 15 and 18 years old; • Teams of two or three pupils; • At least one of the pupils had to know English. Young People in European Forests

Portuguese National Stage Promotion 6 Newsletter’s from December 2011 to May 2012 to all schools; 1 Poster in National Newspaper – World Forest Day (21 of March); Forest Landowners Organizations from Forestis Movement made direct contacts with local schools; Info on websites of NGO, Schools, Regional Education Directorates, agriculture and forest blogspots, etc.; Young People in European Forests

  6. Portuguese National Stage • 1st Test – April 20th • Participation of: • 187 pupils; • 68 teams; • 22 schools; • 10 district. Young People in European Forests

  7. Portuguese National Stage The average grade was 53,5 pointsand the most frequent value was 88 points. Two teams from Guia Group School and Lousã High School had the same high score – 90 points - so it was held a run-off test to break ties. Results Young People in European Forests

Portuguese National Stage Run-off Test – May 18th Teams disputed the post of national winner team and the result was an Second Tie, making this National Stage the most competitive of the YPEF Contest. Due to this special circums-tances National Commission established that the teams had to make a presentation promoting Forests in Portugal.   9. Portuguese National Stage Presentation “Portuguese Forests” Best presentation belongs to Mónica Dias and Fernando Carvalho from Lousã High School which better promoted Portuguese Forests with the knowledge acquired in National Stage. Young People in European Forests

Portuguese National Stage Portuguese Winning Team Mónica Dias and Fernando Carvalhoare the winners and will represent Portugal on European Stage, in Estonia, and promote Portuguese Forests to the other European pupils!
