  1. The carnival is one of the major festivals in South America and, naturally, in Rio. It starts before lent, which lasts 5 days and ends at midnight Tuesday.

  2. The key moment of the carnival is the parade of 48 competing official . Students from these schools are diligently preparing for the procession during the year, trying to impress the audience with their skills and splendor of their costumes.

  3. However, the carnival is not only one of the main tourist attractions of Rio de Janeiro and Brazil. First of all, it is a great business because Samba school annually spend millions of dollars for preparation.

  4. Nowadays this carnival is one of the most expensive in the history of carnivals,and there are more than 350 thousand people from all over the world, who left in the capital Samba more than 400 million dollars.

  5. But, despite everything, admiring tourists selflessly dance Samba in the streets and participate in the carnival processions along the main street of Rio Branco, and then they bring home unforgettable memories of famous carnival in Rio. And we can understand them - this is incomparable spectacle!

  6. Carioca (so they call themselves citizens of the city) claim that "God created the world in six days, and the whole seventh day was dedicated Rio de Janeiro" and not without reason that this city is the most beautiful in the world. In these words, one can see the manifestation of local patriotism, but you can see that Rio de Janeiro is really very beautiful.
