  3. HOW IMPORTANT IS FIELD POSITION??? Offense Starting On Chances of scoring % Inside -20 yard line 1 out of 30 score 3% -40 yard line 1 out of 8 score 13% 50 yard line 1 out of 5 score 20% +40 yard line 1 out of 3 score 33% +30 yard line 1 out of 2 score 50% Inside +20 yard line 2 out of 3 score 66%

  4. Punters • Catch, turn, drop drills • Squat,(don’t kneel)field low snaps • Overhead,1 step,2 step,directional punt • Directional punts

  5. Snappers • Throwing/Underhand wrist snaps • Overhead,follow through drill • Short snaps • 13 yard snaps (emphasize eyes on knees)

  6. Returners • Medicine ball drill • Catching drills (close,overhead,bounce) • Multiple ball drill • “Live” catching drills • Catch-beat gunner drill • Only 1 move on the punter!!!

  7. Gunners • Release drill (machine gun feet, vs 1 & 2 man) • “principle” drills (force,stack,& angle) • Down ball inside the 10 yard line drill • Don’t run pass the ball

  8. Bumpers • Jam drills (emphasize feet) • Hip/flip drills • 2 bump emphasis drill

  9. Kickers/Snappers/Holders • Timing /kick scenario reps • Bad snap drill “fire” call
