This document summarizes the XRT team meeting held at ASDC on September 17-18, 2003. Key topics include the status of the CALDB, detailing the handling of CALDB items in FITS format, issues related to bad pixel tables, and the current status of calibration data including linearity and gain coefficients. The meeting also covered background data processing efforts at PSU and emphasized that users can consider the background negligible for proposal purposes. Important findings regarding pixel status and changes in bias data were also noted.

XRT Team Meeting Location: ISAC/ASDC September 17-18, 2003 XRT Team Meeting – ASDC – September17-18, 2003 (Page 1)
PSU CALDB file status • CALDB items stored in Excel file • Converted to FITS format under Linux/Solaris • Managed with SCCS • Sent via FTP to ISAC • Bad Pixel Table • Currently we have one hot pixel: • (DETX, DETY) = (454, 391) • Currently we have one partially blocked column: • DETX = 454 • DETY = 392 – 602 • Bad pixel table uploaded to instrument • Bad pixel tables sent to ISAC XRT Team Meeting – ASDC – September17-18, 2003 (Page 2)
PSU CALDB file status • Linearity • Linearity fitted to Panter calibration data • Gain coefficients calculated, put into FITS format • FITS files sent to ISAC • NOTE: current definition of Gain file assumes linearity in energy • We may need to modify this to allow nonlinear energy response • Bias Information • Image mode: Amp 2, Low gain, 134 DN • Photodiode mode: Amp 1, High gain • 114.2 DN at Panter • 129.5 DN now • Not sure why this has changed • FITS files sent to ISAC • Background files • Data processing in progress at PSU • We expect background to be small – users can assume it is negligible for proposal purposes.
