This study examines the effects of varying concentrations of iron chloride (FeCl3) and meso-2,3-butanediol (A.MES) on iron transporter genes in maize (Zm) and rice (Os) species. Ratios of 0, 50, and 100 μM of FeCl3 are analyzed to explore the expression levels of several ZIP transporters (ZmZIP1-ZmZIP8, OsZIP5, OsZIP8, OsIRT1) under different pH conditions. The findings aim to elucidate the mechanisms of iron uptake in plants, crucial for enhancing crop growth in iron-deficient soils.
