SNTC is dedicated to the creation, development, production and presentation of dynamic and innovative Indigenous Performing Arts productions based on Aboriginal peoples world views and experiences. The Saskatoon based company is continually striving for artistic excellence and is emerging as one of the premiere indigenous performing arts companies creating uniquely Aboriginal productions with world class artists in Canada.

History Various account of mistreatment since the 1500s such as -> reserves, residential schools, forced labour, mining/carrying uranium, not being allowed to vote Repressed during the colonial period so had undercover theatre Potlatch -> BC Sundance -> Prairies Mainly performed with masks, big costumes & drums Native Theatrical Renaissance began in the 1980s - In the 1982 Native Earth Performing Arts was established and allowed Natives to be heard
