FELE Subtest 3 – Current Development
  • School grading policies changed significantly in 2009-10, particularly for High Schools
    • Written Performance Assessment in Subtest 3 being updated first as it deals specifically with ‘school grading’ data interpretation.
    • New writing topics using most current school grading data drafted by Subject Matter Experts in Oct 2010.
    • Examinees must know and understand the school grading and accountability system.
  • Next Step - Pilot Testing New Writing Topics
    • Ed Leadership Program students asked to provide responses to these new writing topics as if they were actually taking the test.
    • Responses used to evaluate difficulty of writing topics and to create exemplars for rater training.
