What Is Christian Music About • Christian music is about praising and worshiping God, and faith building, and it’s about Gods love to us. • Most Christian bands goal is to connect with teenage fans and share similar experiences in their songs, and offer encouragement and advice in a world that glamorizes lies.

How Did It Start Christian music started out as songs in the church hymn books which are mostly inspired by and taken from the psalms of King David in the bible , and then moved on to worship songs, which eventually spread out into the different types of genres that we have today. Christian music has always been influenced by the music of the times, and culture of the people, and Christians desires to worship God.

4. What Type Of Music Is There • There is gospel music, rock or punk rock, hip hop, pop, rap, contemporary, and worship.

5. Major Events • Like other artists and bands, Christian bands perform in concerts. • Some of the major events that occur in the Christian music business are “High Voltage”, and “ATF (Acquire The Fire)”. These concerts are mostly attended by youth groups and church organizations.

Reactions Of Teens • Most teens react positively towards Christian music. • They no longer feel like they have to conform to what society listens to, but rather their own favourite genre. • The music that society listens to today can sometimes be depressing and encourage inappropriate behaviour. Where as Christian music can be uplifting, encouraging, and faith building.

Reactions of Parents • Parents reaction towards Christian music is mostly positive, because of the clean lyrics they don’t have to worry about their teens and younger siblings picking up bad words and inappropriate behaviour. • Most parents also notice a change in their teens behaviour and attitude. There have been some Christian bands that have received letters from teens, that have thought of committing suicide but changed their outlook on life after hearing one of their songs.
