How did the ancients use numbers?. I am going to make a presentation about how the ancients used to use their Arabic/Hindu numeral system . Historical facts. In the Hindu/Arabic numeral system they had specific codes for different numbers for example 10 would be coded for an arch. Fibonacci.

  1. How did the ancients use numbers? I am going to make a presentation about how the ancients used to use their Arabic/Hindu numeral system.

  2. Historical facts In the Hindu/Arabic numeral system they had specific codes for different numbers for example 10 would be coded for an arch.

  3. Fibonacci Fibonacci was a very clever Italian mathematician in the early of the 5th century as he was also known as the “Leonardo of Pisa” for his great work.

  4. Introduction of zero to Europe Zero was made by Indian mathematicians in the early 5th century and spread by the Arabians to Europe.

  5. Expansion of math's As zero spread in to math we invented new numbers such as 10, 100 and 1,000 thanks to zero

  6. Adding Since the new number system was invented we could add, subtract and divide numbers.
