With time the tale has faded away from my memory but there are 6 life lessons from Ramayana that are still there in my mind and every now and then they help me see through difficulties.

Importance of the mythological Hindu cult, Ramayana • Ramayana defines the code of conduct and ideal models of relationships. • Even today, kids are taught about this epic so that they can learn and inherit all the good lessons in life. • The stories of Ramayana may sound dramatic to newest generations but there are many things that we can learn from Ramayana for good. • With the rapid evolvement, it has become a rare thing where you find a family reciting Ramayana to their kids. • Our grandparents narrated the story and asked us to remember the morals of the story to become a better version of ourselves.

Relationships are Valuable Than Money • The relationship between Rama, Laxman, and Bharat is the perfect example why you should always value your relationships. • Every relationship should be above than greed, anger or treachery. • When Lord Rama was sent to van-vaas for fourteen years, Laxman accompanied him and supported him in good and bad. • If we hold love higher above anything else in a relationship, the value and respect increases and your soul stays pure.

Treat Everyone Equally • Lord Rama treated everyone equally and that’s how he earned the love and respect among everyone. • He was the same person for everyone, whether they were younger or older, poor or wealthy. • He ate the already tasted berry fruits without hesitation when Sabri (the sage's daughter) handed them to him. • We should always treat everyone with equality and should not discriminate on the basis of status, sex, age, or cast.

Forgiveness is Greater Than Revenge • Ravana went to seek vengeance and abducted Sita. • He was lured into his own trap of anger and ultimately he signed his death warrant. • We should always keep a forgiving nature because vengeance and revenge do not bring any good. • It is very important to keep an attitude of forgiveness brings peace and harmony.
