  2. During Their fetal life, IUGR infants had a higher risk to die and to be Born preterm, predominantly by cesarean section

  3. In the neonatal period, these Infants had more complications includ- Ing PVL, convulsions, and meconium obstruction, where as their long-term Development was complicated by higher Rates of neurological impairment and Growth delay.

  4. Women with an IUGR fetus should be informed about The long-term effects because mere survival might not be the only outcome relevant to parents.
