  1. SPD CB Test in Clermont-Ferrand19/03 and 20/03 ÁGdV on behalf of Mar Roselló and Xvc

  2. SPD CB Test • Purpose: Check all SPD CB functionalities with a partially filled crate (1 SPD CB and 7 FE PS). • Not possible to test a full crate (2 SPD CB a 14 FE PS) because we had only one new version of SPECS mezzanine.

  3. SPD CB Test • Little hardware modification of the SPD CB to disable de fault! signal because it was stuck to GND in the backplane (fault! signal not operative in the backplane version that there was in Clermont). Properly working in new crate backplane.

  4. SPD CB Test • SPD multiplicity fully tested: with fixed patterns, with random patterns, etc. (patterns from FE PS RAMs). No problems found to detect automatically the number of PS connected. • Acquisition correctly synchronised with channel B signals. • Data sent by the SPD CB to Selection Board using the optical link, was tested using an optical receiver and an oscilloscope.

  5. SPD CB Test • Common software was prepared in order to do future tests. • We would like to thank: R. Bonnefoy, E. Conte, R. Cornat and S. Monteil.
