  3. Wellness and Physical Education Programs rated Recognized Porter has held a Zumbathon, Summer recreation, Relay for Life, and UTB Walk-a-thon. Porter provides physicals for HS students. Campus participates in breakfast in the classroom and afterschool snacks. Porter High School

  4. Community and Parental Involvement rated Exemplary Porter provides Curbside coffee and parent’s corner to give information to parents about testing, meetings, and updates. Meetings for college trips and transcripts. Tutorial is provided to targeted students. Porter High School

  5. 21st Century Workforce Development rated Recognized Personal graduation plans are on file and are monitored regularly. Over 90% of all eligible juniors and seniors were tested PSAT, SAT, ACT, or TSI. Porter High School

  6. Second Language Acquisition Program Recognized Lesson Plans incorporate culture awareness experiences. Students are provided computer assistance interventions in the form ESL Reading Smart, Rosetta Stone, and /or MindPlay Porter High School

  7. Digital Learning Environment rated Recognized Technology education is encourage with students as well as parents. Parent trainings, professional development for faculty and students. Types of digital communication consist of the school website, eSchool Plus, School Messenger, Twitter, Facebook, Schoology, and Pinterest. Porter High School

  8. Dropout Prevention Strategies rated Exemplary Students are identified and monitored for lacking credits. Dropout Specialists is available mornings, during school, afterschool, summer, and weekends to assist with credit recovery. Porter High School

  9. Gifted and Talented Program rated Recognized All students are able to be nominated in order to qualify for the Gifted and Talented Program. Some programs that GT students are involved in are History Fair, Science, Fair, & Destination Imagination. Porter High School
