Miasma Theory An ancient medical theory that held that infections and diseases—such as cholera, chlamydia, or the Black Death—were caused by a miasma, a noxious form of "bad air", also known as night air. The theory held that the origin of epidemics was due to a miasma, emanating from rotting organic matter,

  3. The Modern Gospel What is the Gospel? Let us ask Paul for the answer. He wrote: “Now, brothers, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. By this gospel you are saved … For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Peter, and then to the Twelve” (1 Corinthians 15:1-5, NIV). You will be quick to notice that the Gospel is composed of two parts: First, Christ died for our sins; second, Christ rose from the dead.

  6. What Does “Herald” Mean? A herald was usually a representative of a royal or government official having as his specific responsibility the bearing of a message. The message and whom he represented was his primary concern, and he was to remain secondary. - Encyclopedia of the Bible

  8. What Does “Gospel” Mean? G2098 εὐαγγέλιον euaggelion yoo-ang-ghel'-ee-on From the same as G2097; a good message, that is, the gospel: - gospel.

  10. What Does “Kingdom” Mean? G932 βασιλεία basileia bas-il-i'-ah From G935; properly royalty, that is, (abstractly) rule, or (concretely) a realm (literally or figuratively): - kingdom, + reign.

  11. Kingdom of What? Matthew 4:17  From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand."

  12. The Kingdom of God Mark 1:14  Now after John was put in prison, Jesus came to Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, Mark 1:15  and saying, "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel."

The Kingdom of God Psalm 145:10  All Your works shall praise You, O LORD, And Your saints shall bless You.  Psalm 145:11  They shall speak of the glory of Your kingdom, And talk of Your power,  Psalm 145:12  To make known to the sons of men His mighty acts, And the glorious majesty of His kingdom.  Psa 145:13  Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, And Your dominion endures throughout all generations.

  14. The Kingdom of God Luke 4:42  Now when it was day, He departed and went into a deserted place. And the crowd sought Him and came to Him, and tried to keep Him from leaving them;  Luke 4:43  but He said to them, "I must preach the kingdom of God to the other cities also, because for this purpose I have been sent." 

  15. The Mystery Matthew 13:10  And the disciples came and said to Him, "Why do You speak to them in parables?"  Matthew 13:11  He answered and said to them, "Because it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given.

Human governments replaced by God (Daniel 7:27 et al) God’s government headed by Christ (Revelation 11:15) A new world of peace, prosperity and hope for EVERYONE. Instruction for growing in love, grace, knowledge, mercy.

  20. Is It Time? Act 1:6  Therefore, when they had come together, they asked Him, saying, "Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?"  Act 1:7  And He said to them, "It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority.  

  21. Jesus IS the Messiah Hebrews 9:28  so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation.

These Bodies Don’t Cut It 1 Corinthians 15:50  Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption. 1 Corinthians 15:51  Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed—  1 Corinthians 15:52  in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

Jesus IS the Messiah Acts 2:36  "Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ (or messiah).” Act 2:37  Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, "Men and brethren, what shall we do?"  Act 2:38  Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Acts 8:12  But when they believed Philip as he preached the things concerning the kingdom of God AND the name of Jesus Christ, both men and women were baptized.  Acts 19:8  And he went into the synagogue and spoke boldly for three months, reasoning and persuading concerning the things of the kingdom of God.  Acts 20:25  "And indeed, now I know that you all, among whom I have gone preaching the kingdom of God, will see my face no more. Act 28:22  But we desire to hear from you what you think; for concerning this sect, we know that it is spoken against everywhere."  Act 28:23  So when they had appointed him a day, many came to him at his lodging, to whom he explained and solemnly testified of the KINGDOM OF GOD, persuading them concerning Jesus from both the Law of Moses and the Prophets, from morning till evening. Acts 28

  26. Acts 28:30  Then Paul dwelt two whole years in his own rented house, and received all who came to him,  Acts 28:31  preaching the kingdom of God and teaching the things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ with all confidence, no one forbidding him. The Kingdom AND Jesus
