Topics • October 1 – Wiki 101 – presented by Abbey- This session will focus on the basics of a wiki: how to create a page, how to add content, how to delete, hide, etc. • October 8 – Wiki 102 – presented by Abbey -This session will focus on embedding text, videos, power point; how to embed an interactive poll; how to use wikis for an interactive agenda. • October 15 – Embedding videos in power point – presented by Greg • October 22 – Training NCEES Inter-rater reliability with Rose Carter – presented by Heather M • October 29 – Polishing Power Points – presented by Mike Martin

Meeting with Regional PD Teams • Robert, Yvette, and Eliz will be attending a sample of your trainings. • We want to meet with each regional team to discuss how you are doing, understand your challenges, and get ideas for ways we can support you. • We will also discuss the strategies you are deploying for your neediest districts – the ones Lynne mentioned at our quarterly meeting. Be prepared to discuss with artifacts. • We will contact you with specific dates for each region. • Eliz will join the ID team at one of your face to face sessions for the same discussion. • All meetings will take place before the winter break.

  15. 2 X 2 Peer Observation for PD Leads • Select a colleague to observer you training, facilitating a meeting, coaching, etc. • Identify two areas of focus for this observation • The observer will use a simple plus-delta to document many positives and a minimum of two areas/strategies for improvement • Write your reflections on the process and your intentions for using the strategies for improvement and email them to Eliz and Robert

  16. Performance Management Plan Robert and Eliz will follow up with all of you about the Performance Management Plans you wrote last December (or when you started work). These will probably be phone conferences. These will also occur before the end of December.

  17. Issues Bin • Districts can run the UID process every day. There is no reason to wait until the first paycheck to get a UID for the online tool. • Use the term Measures of Student Learning/Common Exams. It is long but that is the wording we are asked to use. • Regions will partner to deliver the Fidelity Support Session per email from Robert. • We need you to attend the IHE session nearest you. The first one is Oct 12 at Meredith. Use the link to register if that one is closest to you. The others are Dec 17 at UNC-W and Jan 9 at Gardner-Webb. • On October 10, NCPAPA and NCDPI are hosting a webinar to provide updates and answer questions on the Measures of Student Learning/Common Exams.
