Current Strategies

This initiative focuses on improving law enforcement interactions with youth across Comanche, Tulsa, and Oklahoma counties through training programs like EPIY, based on a successful model from Connecticut. The program emphasizes community-driven solutions, supports local jurisdictions, and builds local boards with key stakeholders to address service gaps. It includes training for 22 officers, CLEET certification, and ongoing monitoring of detention policy changes. Partnering with Cameron University and implementing data-driven strategies aim to reduce delinquency while fostering positive youth-police relations.
