  1. Forgetting to mention the author and the title of the book in your introduction is bad! Holden has a problem with feeling guilty. He feels guilty because his brother Allie died and he wasn’t very close to him. Holden fails out of school a lot, and it is because he hasn’t learned to get past his guilt. By the end of the book, Holden learns to move past his guilt.

  2. Dropped quotes are bad! “One thing about packing depressed me a little” (51). Holden says this when he finds the skates his mom gave him, and he feels guilty that he has flunked out of another school. Holden says, “One thing about packing depressed me a little” (51).   4. Using I, me, or you is bad! I think that Holden feels guilty when he finds the skates his mom bought him. You can tell that he feels bad when he says, “One thing about packing depressed me a little” (51).
