Adventures in Computational Thinking By Tom Kim Description: proficiency with certain computer applications (traditional computer literacy), principles on which you can build new understanding as IT evolves, High level reasoning and IT problem solving, and basic web programming (HTML/XHTML). Computational thinking, Data Analysis and data presentations. Daily in class activities with weekly organized lab projects. • Becoming Skilled at Information Technology • Algorithms and Digitizing Information • Data and Information Analysis and Presentation • Problem Solving In Lab 6, we worked with Alice in order to create our own virtual world filled with objects. The objects performed specific duties that we assigned. Computational Thinking Desktop Publishing with MS Word Visual Programming with Alice In Lab 5, we compiled an assortment of information in order to convey it in a concise manner, through a graph. In Labs 7,8 we worked with JavaScript in order to create programs that had specific functions. In addition, we created specific responses to specific inputs Presentation of Information with MS PowerPoint In Labs 1 & 3, we expressed our identities as individuals and students through the career paths we have chosen and by conveying our pride in being Tritons Dynamic Webpage Programming with JavaScript Making Information Available to the World with HTML and Web Pages In Labs 4,5 our main focus was on Microsoft Excel in order to not only compile but to also organize our information. Proven to be a very useful tool in helping organize. Data Analysis and Visualization with MS Excel
