  1. Increase in Urban and Rural Education Gap By- Jesus’ Sacred Heart School

  2. Introduction The major improvement of science and technology have triggered a vast development of Urban schooling. With the establishment of Digital Learning, it is more popular in every urban school. The importance of education is still not realized in the rural areas. So, how can we expect technology to reach there and enhance the education process?

  3. Less students in Village Schools Rural schools are smaller in size and given the lesser number of students attending schools, student teacher ratio is quite unimpressive. Due to this circumstance, it is thereby possible for a teacher to give attention to each student. Is this an advantage? Not really because, there should be a proportionate teacher student ratio.

  4. Girls not allowed in schools In this 21st generation, when majority of women are becoming independent and confident. But, woman’s emancipation is yet to spread in the rural areas where girls are not allowed to attend schools. In rural areas, most of the girls are prepared to get married at an early stage.

  5. Rural teachers are not always trained Most of the time, teachers are not qualified to teach higher class students.  Hence the lot of teachers available maybe not be competent or trained adequately to impart digitalized education. Most of the efficient teachers relocate to cities where they are given pleasant ambiance and good packages.

  6. Less Job Opportunities in Rural Areas Compare to urban areas, job opportunities are still less in rural sectors.  If the assurance of bagging a well paying job is absent, it is natural that rural children will stop studying. In other words the return of investment on education is better in urban areas.

  7. Poor Infrastructure Due to poor infrastructure in rural areas, this results in absenteeism among teachers. The ultimate result is that students do not get proper education. For instance, a science teacher is not the right person to teach a vernacular language in the secondary sections.
