  4. The 18 Hole Rule • There is no specific date when this started • It was started by the Royal and Ancient Golf Club • Clubs did not have to follow this rule

  5. 18 Hole Rumor • There are 18 holes of golf because it takes 18 shots to terminate a fifth of Scotch • A member from St. Andrews found this
