Things to do before…. - Ensure my passport will not expire in the duration of my vacation in Paris (Remember the movie Terminal?) - Feed my goldfish - Drop kids off at Grandma’s… wait, I don’t have any.. - Arrange house care/monitoring with a trusted friend - LOCK ALL DOORS AND WINDOWS AND GARAGE - Bring proof of Insurance papers - Bring Health Card in case of accidents within Ontario

  3. PACKING!!! • 1 cocktail dress (fancy dinners etc.) • 2 pairs of heels • 2 bathing suits • 1 bathing suit coverup • Makeup (hehe) • Flat back brush, thin tooth brush, barrel brush. Teasing brush • Hairspray • curling iron 1- inch • curing iron ¾ inch • curling iron 1 ½ inch • blow dryer • laptop • cell phone • CHARGERS FOR ALL OF THE ABOVE • 8 Pairs of Jeans • 13 short sleeves • 4 sweaters • 6 Pairs of Shorts • 7 tank tops • 2 pairs of sweatpants • 3 sets of pajamas • 10 pairs of socks • 10 pairs of unspecified garments • 2 overcoats • 2 pairs of running shoes • 4 pairs of flip flops • 2 pairs of sandals • Passport • Tickets • Other important stuff • €150 emergency expense

  4. History Paris is known as the City of Lights, with a history that spans over 2,000 years. The region was originally inhabited by the Celtic tribes, and it is estimated to be the largest pre-Roman settlement. Throughout the middle ages, the country of France has suffered from the plague, droughts and floods, revolutions and rebellions. Many monarchs have left their mark on this small but proud country. The present city of Paris is also known as a great fashion icon and the most romantic city in the world.

Flight to Paris • I must leave London at 4:30pm to take a taxi to Pearson Airport, Toronto • My plane departs at 20:40 EST Sat Jun 29th I am booked for coach • Before leaving, I check to see whether I have my passport and identifications, not to mention any tickets I have purchased in advance • The cost for my plane round trip is $1646.00

  6. Hotel Avalon Jun 30th- July 3rd 131-133 Boulevard de Magenta, 75010 Paris, France While in Downtown Paris, I’ll be staying at the Hotel Avalon. The hotel is within 20 minutes from the famous downtown landmarks. The cost is €461/ $ 603 for four nights.

  7. While in Paris… Price for Eiffel tower is €14.50

  8. Sightseeing July 2nd-3rd I purchased a 2 day museum pass in Paris that allows me to visit over 60 museums. The price was € 39

  9. On the run again  July 4th On July 4th, at 1:15pm, I’ll be taking a train from Paris to Chessy Rhone, France. The cost is €83.33

  10. Comfort Hotel Champigny Sur Marne This hotel is 15 minutes away from Disneyland Paris. It has great facilities and rated 3 stars. The cost is €56/ night

  11. Disneyland! Need I say more?  July 5th-7th I purchased a 3 days pass for the price of 2, which allows me to visit Disneyland Paris theme parks and the Walt Disney Studios. The cost was € 134.60 The transportation to and from Disneyland will cost around €41.50 for three days

  12. On my way to Versailles! July 8th Taking a taxi from Chessy to Versailles will be cheaper than train. This trip will cost €73 My new accommodation will be the Campanile Plaisir, which is 15 minutes away from The Palace Of Versailles. The cost is €55 per night The total transportation in Versailles will be around € 56

  13. Palace Of Versailles- July 9th The Palace of Versailles was built by Louis XIV, known as the Sun King. The building of this immense palace cost an enormous amount of money and even greater labor. The later King Louis XVI gave this palace to his wife Queen Marie Antoinette, who was a lavish and vain woman. The couple bankrupted France, and were eventually executed during the French Revolution. With my entrance pass into Versailles, I will be visiting the Hall of Mirrors, the Great Hall, the Garden of Versailles and Marie Antoinette’s personal “village” The pass costs €18

  14. The Royal Opera House - July 10th I will be visiting the grand Royal Versailles Opera House. The performance I’ll be watching is called “The Royal Serenade” by the French ballet. The cost for tickets is €17 Shh… I don’t actually like ballet :3

  15. Cannes…. Time to relax  After traveling by train to Cannes (Economy, €168), I’ll be staying at the Hotel Best Western Mondial, Rue d'Antibes, Cannes, France This spa- like environment is €155 per night. A little pricy, but I deserve it 

  16. On the BEACH! July 11th-13th

  17. Train back to Paris July 14th, Catch the flight back to Toronto July 15th Alas, all good things must come to an end. I’ll be on the plane by 09:45 and back in Toronto by 11:05 EST I’ll be taking an airport transport bus back to London for $54.00
