  3. THINGS TO THINK ABOUT • Is all of your discovery in one centralized location? • Are your documents searchable? • What file formats do you have?

  4. KEY WORD SEARCHING Keyword: Caddy

  5. KEY WORD SEARCHING The process of examining documents by matching a word or group of words specified by a user to those in the documents.

  6. KEY WORD SEARCHING • Benefits: • Forces you to think about your case • The most common way of searching that most users are familiar with • Is usually over-inclusive

  7. KEY WORD SEARCHING • Limitations: • Completely depends on the quality of the OCR for scanned documents • There could be typographical errors that effect the accuracy of your search results • Is usually over-inclusive

  10. BOOLEAN SEARCHING Form of searching in which an operator such as “and”, “or”, “not” is used to identify documents that contain both terms, either term or one term and not the other
