  1. God’s part in salvation Eph.2:8– “for by grace have ye been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; Man’s part in salvation

Heb.11:1– “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Rom.10:17– “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Heb.11:3– “By faith we understand that the worlds have been framed by the word of God, so that what is seen hath not been made out of things which appear.”

  3. Heb.5:8,9– “… he became unto all them that obey him the author of eternal salvation;” Matt.7:21– “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father who is in heaven.” Lk.6:46; Jas.2:14-26; Heb.10:39; Heb.11; Jn.1:12

  4. 1 Jn.5:4,5– “4 For whatsoever is begotten of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that hath overcome the world, even our faith. 5 And who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?”

  5. The faith that overcomes the world is a Faith: • Produced by hearing God’s word– Rom.10:17 • In Christ as the Son of God – 1 Jn.5:4,5 • Which leads us to obey ALL God’s commands: • Repentance of sins – Acts 17:30 • Confession of faith in Christ – Rom.10:10 • Baptism in water for remission of sins– Acts 2:38; Mk.16:16 • With leads us to live a life for Christ following baptism– Rom.6:3,4

  6. Hear – Apathy /Prejudice Believe – Doubt Repent – Self-Will Confess – Cowardice Be Baptized – Human-Wisdom Live Faithfully – Discouragement
