  1. OBJECTIVE To provide a general understanding of Sask Sport and the programs available for developing sport in Saskatchewan.

Federation of non-profit provincial sport and service organizations • Sask Sport Inc. was founded to present a unified voice for sport, to establish a fundraising program and to develop collective programs and services beneficial to sport. • Advocates to the public and government on behalf of 70 active & affiliate members. • More than 340,000 people are registered members in sport today

  4. Partnership with Gov’t of Saskatchewan • SSI operates Saskatchewan Lotteries as the fundraiser for sport, culture, and recreation on behalf of The Provincial Government – this is unique to Canada • Agreement allows Sask Sport to conduct, manage and market lotteries and allocate funds. • Net lottery proceeds are placed in the Saskatchewan Lotteries Trust Fund.

Canadian Sport for Life • A coordinated strategy to increase Physical Literacy levels of Saskatchewan people. • Saskatchewan children will have the opportunity to acquire fundamental movement and sport skills so as to enhance growth and physical development and become life-long participants in sport and physical activity.
