From their debut in 1884 to winning two World Series titles and numerous pennants, the Phillies have shown resilience and passion. Brief History of the Phillies • Began playing in 1884. • Have won 2 world series (1980,2008). • 7 National League Pennants (1915,1950,1980,1983,1993,2008,2009). • 9 National League East Division titles (1976,1977,1978,1980,1983,1993,2007,2008,2009). • Home of legendary broadcaster Harry Kalas.
