University of Debrecen Centre for Environmental Management and Policy Our territory: living and renewing Western Transdanubia • Sustainable ecologic water management • Continuation and further development of wetland reconstruction of Lake Fertő Earlier wetland reconstruction (Fertő-Hanság National Park): • Particularly on the South-eastern part of the lake • Development of open water surface • Prevention of further oxidation of residual peat stock • Reconstruction of bog/fen/marsh vegetation, and aquatic flora • Ensuring nestling and feeding places/habitats for aquatic birds
