  3. Enrolling Classes -Many majors in medical field -Narrow down options -Figure out what medical service you want to get into -Depends on what kind of medicine you’ll be getting into

  4. Ready for JOB! • Put everything they’ve learned at it’s best • Start of new career Yet still learning along the way….

  5. Reactions • Learned to stay calm • Ask questions to distract patient from injury • Focus on job and what they need and don’t need to do

  6. Complex Situations • EMTs check the patients conditions to see what’s wrong or if they have any pre-existing medical conditions. • Work together by having their own specific duty

  7. Treat the patient on the spot Transport them to the hospital then do treatment It all depends on how severe the injury is

  8. Dealing with Death • Most medical workers separate themselves in a quiet peaceful room to collect their thoughts before going back to work. • Learned to view death a part of their job and remind themselves it’s normal • Remember they did the best they could

  9. Working Hours and Payment • Payment depends on how many hours they’ve worked • Most EMTs work 2-day hour shifts • 45-50 hours a week • They don’t work everyday
