Action Item Review • 63rd IHC Action Items • 19 Action Items • 12 items (mostly informational) closed by incorporating changes into NHOP • Change in Organizational Name (pending as of Jan 26) • Changes to the Saffir Simpson Hurricane Scale • Terminology: sea state vs. significant wave height (NWS rep to bring to Marine Program meeting) • 2 items worked during IHC • 5 additional informational items • TC Wind Field Graphic (NHC: product becomes operational; CPHC: product remains experimental) • Series of Probabilistic Storm Surge Products become Operational for 2009 • Changes to the Graphical Tropical Weather Outlook Products for 2009 • Modification to Tropical Weather Summary Product Format for 2009 • Reference Storm Surge Information / Forecasts as Height Above Ground Level (Inundation)

  3. 63rd IHC Key Actions 2 items worked during IHC Accomplished additional coordination and all agencies concurred to use electronic worksheet during Hotline conference call (CLOSED) Airspace Use During TC Missions Small team (Miami/Jacksonville ATC, 53rd WRS, and NOAA AOC) drafted proposed update to NHOP to allow participating NOAA and TEAL aircraft to maintain their own separation while operating in controlled airspace Additional ATC coordination ongoing (OPEN) Action Item Review

  4. 63rd IHC: Old Action Items Update of MOA MOA has been updated and completely reorganized NOAA / NWS coordination complete HQ AFRC legal office reviewing MOA (OPEN) Caribbean Hurricane Awareness Tour (CHAT) NHC and 403 OG / 53rd WRS will explore options regarding CHAT missions during 2009 CHAT (OPEN) Action Item Review

  5. 63rd IHC: Old Action Items (continued) USDA identified need for six products to be available in GIS format from NHC Status Products 1-4 available / satisfied (CLOSED) Products 5-6: USDA will formalize their requirement by sending letter of request to NWS USACE requested that they also be included in the coordination of this item (OPEN) Action Item Review
