  1. How’s Your LOVE Life?(based on The Relationship Principles of Jesus by Tom Holladay) « Radical Love » Mark 12:30 & 31 October 19, 2010

  2. How’s Your LOVE Life?« Radical LOVE  » “Everything rises and falls on relationship”. Pastor Mills Matthew 22:35-40 Mark 12:28-31 John 13:34 This type of radical love goes against human nature. Memorize 1 Corinthians 13 by November 30th

  3. How’s Your LOVE Life?« Radical LOVE  » • Jesus’ examples provide healing, restoration and affirmation to our relationships. • We must replace selfishness with unselfishness, and arrogance with compassion. • Simply knowing God’s principles does not have any power to change our relationships.

  4. How’s Your LOVE Life?« Radical LOVE  » • The power to change starts when we put our faith and trust in God’s principles, followed with the obedience needed to act on that faith. • Jesus said we are to love God with all of our heart, soul, mind and strength; which can be translated into feelings, decisions, thoughts and actions.

  5. How’s Your LOVE Life?« Radical LOVE  » • To love God with all of our heart: • We need to spend time with God and to pray with emotion. • Psalm 32:11 • Psalm 100:2 • Seven examples to follow from the Psalms • - Talk about our feelings - Psalm 6:6

  6. How’s Your LOVE Life?« Radical LOVE  » • - Talk about our weaknesses – Psalm 25:16 • - Talk about His strengths – Psalm 24:8 • - Tell God our fears – Psalm 55:5 • - Tell God our desires – Psalm 38:9 • - Admit our sins to God – Psalm 38:17-18 • - Confess out loud what is true – Psalm 18:1-3 • To love God with all our soul means to search diligently for Him with great passion.

  7. How’s Your LOVE Life?« Radical LOVE  » • To love God radically is to pray « Not my will, Lord, but yours be done. » • To love God with all of our mind we need to memorize Scripture. Philippians 4:8 • True – meditate on God’s truth. • Noble – appreciate God’s worth. • Just – co-operate with God’s plan.

  8. How’s Your LOVE Life?« Radical LOVE  » • Pure – appropriate God’s cleansing. • Lovely – anticipate God’s abundance. • Good Report – communicate God’s encouragement. • Virtuous – be motivated by God’s greatness. • Praiseworthy – celebrate God’s goodness. • Trust God to work through your weaknesses.

  9. How’s Your LOVE Life?« Radical LOVE  » • The parable of the Good Samaritan speaks about the value of loving everyone and the value of loving someone. • Anyone means there should be no-one outside the limits of our love. • Someone means to practice love towards the people we are with at any given time.

  10. How’s Your LOVE Life?« Radical LOVE  » • We are not to limit our love because of our differences or our fears. • We must limit the expression of our love. • Practical love can only be expressed one opportunity at a time. • The one relationship we can truly count on is our relationship with Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father.

  11. How’s Your LOVE Life?« Radical LOVE  » • We need to lean on that relationship as we risk to love. • Time alone with God will strengthen every relationship. • Jesus told the Father what was in His heart, and He listened to hear what the Father had on His heart. • We need to follow this simple pattern daily.
