South Africa • Type of Government • A Republic with a two-house National Assembly • Head of State • President elected by the National Assembly • Who Can Vote • Citizens 18 and over vote • Degree of Personal Freedoms • Numerous personal freedoms since the end of apartheid. • Has a High literacy rate… but still very low compared to other countries around the world

North Sudan • Type of Government • Dominated by one political party • Head of State • President and Head of State leads this political party • Who Can Vote • Citizens 17 years of age or older • Degree of Personal Freedoms • Citizens have few constitutional freedoms • Most government positions appointed. • Elections are supposed to be held in the future. Lol.
