  12. Students Respond about Favorite Books • My favorite book was… • Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian - love the voice that Alexie gets across - he relates stories like he's talking to you. • Does My Head Look Big in This? because it taught me a lot about Muslims. • The Alchemyst. It was so fun, descriptive and inventive. I loved the suspense and all the twists. • The True Meaning of Smekday - because it was funny! • Unwind, which reminded me a little of The Host but it was an action pact, futuristic, life questioning adventure.

  13. Favorite Parts of the Activity • The Battle.  It was fun and interesting to see how people worked together and meet new people. • Battling because I got to see more readers. • Winning - we dominate!!!! • Got me back into reading. • Having a team and comparing books with them. • Purpose to read specific books that were engaging for my students. • I really enjoyed the tests and collaborating with team members to get the answers. • Getting to find out about new titles in a fun way. • My favorite part of the activity was arguing over which book went along with the questions because my group is weird!
