Islington Faiths Forum & Islington Schools • Fun thought-provoking peace assemblies for pupils to explore how to contribute to peace on our streets, in school and at home • Reaching 5,136 people this year, including special needs pupils • Production of an Inter Faith calendar involving community groups, statutory services and all the schools in Islington = exploring different religions and beliefs through art

All Change Arts & Children’s Social Care With the support of Family Action…. • Developed arts-based creative activities to ease and facilitate the discussion of domestic violence for social work & family support staff, parents & children = Additional support for families – brought resources to Islington - enhanced professional practice and improved engagement – improved communication in families. Positive feedback from families about being involved in the process

Islington Somali Community, St Mark’s Church & Islington Police • At a Community Safety Unit participatory budgeting event… • residents voted St Mark’s and Islington Somali Community to reduce anti-social behaviour & crime. = Community outreach – local businesses – Somali parents – youth work - challenging workshops – community events – positive culture examples. = reduction of youth disorder. – more integration of Somali Community – increased self esteem and confidence among young people – a straightforward process for feeding in and resolving issues.
