  3. Location Of Empire State Building • The Empire State Buildingis located in Midtown Manhattan, New York City, at the intersection of Fifth Avenue and West 34th Street.

Fast Facts • The Empire State Building had been the world's tallest building for more than 40 years, from 1931 to 1972 • The Empire State Building is 1,453 feet 8 9/16 inches from the base to the top of the antennae. • The Empire State is topped by a lightning rod. There are 1,860 steps from the lobby to the 102nd floor.
