WHO I AM? • Giovanni Guaraldi is Assistant Professor of Infectious Diseases at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. • His primary research interests are phase II and III clinical trial for development of Antiretroviral drugs • Since 2002, he has been the leader of the Metabolic Clinic of Modena University, a multidisciplinary referral clinic where a 3000 HIV patients cohort are monitored for non-infectious HIV-associated co-morbidities. • He is panel member of EACS Guidelines on the Prevention and Management of Metabolic Diseases in HIV. • Since 1988 he is a guest physician at the Usokami Health Centre in Iringa Region, were he contributed were in 2003 he contributed to the settlement of a CTC, VCT & PMTCT centre
