  9. Field Partnerships “WHY SHOULD I BE A PARTNER?” (page 2) • Target my involvement & investment • Accountability by the Field; receive reports • Receive “insider” information; know the details • Continuity…follow projects from start to finish • Personalize Missions…Know you are making a difference! • Fulfill the “Great Commission”…Give, Go, & Make Disciples

  10. Field Partnerships “HOW?” • FSC gathers a group of potential partners by personal invitation. • FSC appoints a “Managing Partner” to be Chairman of the group. • FSC meets with partners at least once a year in the USA. • FSC invites partners to visit or meet on the field. • FSC provides “Prayer Requests & Answers”, by email. • FSC provides an approved project “Needs List”. • FSC provides progress reports and success stories. • Managing Partner plans the annual meeting. • Managing Partner follows up on commitments and provides reports on resource development. • WMD provides technical assistance and policy guidance.

  11. Field Partnerships “WHAT?” Partners can: • Provide intercessory prayer support, especially for emergencies • Raise money in addition to WEF and Mission Specials • Help fund special projects (buildings, training, campaigns, etc.) • Recruit W&W and other teams • Recruit and help fund volunteers and special skills • Make personal commitments and find others to help; leverage/ROI • Seek help from friends who are not Nazarenes • Upon invitation of the Field, “go and see”. Partners have choices for involvement, share ideas, make recommendations… MAKE A DIFFERENCE! FSC values partner input in developing field strategy.

  12. Field Partnerships “WHAT NOT?” Partners do not: • Set strategy or tell the Field what to do. • Redirect tithes and offerings, or support for WEF. • Raise money in your local church without Pastor’s approval. • Solicit from other churches without their Pastor’s approval. • Send out mailings or do group e-mail solicitations. Partnership is a personal commitment.

  13. Field Partnerships How do you get started? 1. Let the Field Strategy Coordinator know you are interested in being a Partner… JOIN THE TEAM! 2. Confirm attendance at the organizational meeting. 3. Make a donation to help cover costs of the meeting. 4. Pray about a committee assignment. • Begin planning a trip to the Field, perhaps with a W&W team. 6. Pray about a personal investment of resources. 7. Identify other potential partners and resources. 8. Fulfill your commitments; set an example for others.
