  2. Long ago people believed… “Mice came from oldgrain sacks.”

  3. People thought… “Frogs came from mud.”

  4. People thought… “Maggots came from rotting meat.”

  5. WHY??? • Because that is what they observed.

  6. This is called… Spontaneous Generation

  7. Spontaneous Generation is NOT TRUE!

  8. People created that theory because they had no better idea of how these organisms really were created.

  9. Now the real story… • Scientists started to test the old theories and found them to be incorrect.
