  3. User Network Interface (2/3) • Network Termination (NT). Merupakan perangkat terminating dari network, menangani fungsi-fungsi Layer 1 dan Layer 2 OSI. NT bisa berupa Modem atau perangkat PBX. • Terminal Equipment 1 (TE1). Perangkat terminal ISDN yang tersambung ke network ISDN melalui interface S/T. Contoh : Telepon digital, Fax G4, Videophone dll. • Terminal Equipment 2 (TE2). Perangkat terminal non-ISDN yang tersambung ke network ISDN melalui Terminal Adaptor. Contoh : PC, FAX analog (G3), Telepon analog dll.

Perangkat interface terminal non-ISDN, agar TE2 bisa mengakses ke ISDN. • U-Interface. 2-W subscriber line • S/T-Interface. 4-wire physical interface, untuk koneksi antara NT dengan TE1 atau NT dengan TA. • R-Interface. Physical interface antara TA dengan TE2

Struktur Interface (2/2) • BRA Logical struktur : 2B + D Channel Speed : Kanal B = 64 Kbps Kanal D = 16 Kbps • PRA Logical struktur : 30B + D Channel Speed : Kanal B = 64 Kbps Kanal D = 64 Kbps Kanal B digunakan sebagai kanal informasi untuk switched call atau paket call. Kanal D digunakan sebagai kanal signaling untuk switch call, paket call dan paket data.
