Ashraya

The Ashraya Project, initiated by Mr. Venugopalan in 2000, is a dedicated residential rehabilitation center located in Kollam District, Kerala, catering to 25 challenged girl children. With a student strength of 26 (21 residential and 5 day scholars), the center provides education from pre-primary to higher secondary levels with a variety of special and vocational training programs. In 2009, funding is sought to support recurring costs and develop new initiatives like physiotherapy and artificial limb units. Ashraya aims for holistic development through education and therapy.
