Compatibility The CB600RF can be used with all BRK / DICON 230V mains operated smoke and heat alarms: 7010 range, 650 range, 670 range, 680 range Push fit connection allows for quick and easy connection between ceiling base and alarm. The CB600RF is automatically installed with a coding system that prevents individual systems in a group from interacting with each other causing nuisance alarms.

  3. About the CB600RF The CB600RF wireless base unit transmits a Radio Frequency (RF) alarm signal when the unit attached to it senses smoke or fire. When it receives an RF alarm signal from another CB600RF base the attached smoke or heat alarm will sound, thus eliminating the need to run long interconnecting wires between all smoke and heat alarms around the building. The radio base is mains powered but also includes a rechargeable lithium battery for back-up in the event of mains failure. The CB600RF will normally be wired to the nearest mains circuit in the ceiling (usually lighting circuit, provided un-switched live is available). The smoke/heat alarm is then pushed onto the base rather than its normal mounting plate. As many as 12 units can be interconnected in this way. It is essential to code the base unit properly to prevent accidental signalling to nearby systems.

Quick Installation Guide • Fix the wireless base unit to the ceiling using supplied fittings • Set codes correctly in the base unit as instructed in the manual provided. • Bring the 230V wiring to the base through either the trunking knock-out on the side of or via the knock-out section on the base. Connect wires correctly. • Connect alarm supply loom (supplied with the alarm) to the appropriate • connections in the ceiling base. (See owners manual) • Screw mount plate to radio base, insert paper gasket and plug connector into back of smoke/heat alarm. • Connect smoke/heat alarm firmly by push-fitting and twisting into the ceiling base unit.
