Teaching Career • I began my teaching career in Abilene, Texas at Bonham Elementary where I taught 4th and 5th grade! I think I learned more than the kids did! I was there for three years and loved every minute of it.
Teaching Career • When I moved to the DFW area, I taught for 3 years at Lee Elementary in Coppell ISD. I again taught 4th grade. This was a great school and some of my best memories in education were made here.
While teaching in Coppell, I was encouraged to seek my Administration degree. I did this at the University of North Texas from 1996-1998. More school??
Administration Career • After finishing my Administration degree, I was named the Assistant Principal at Denton Creek Elementary in Coppell. This was a wonderful school and I had the opportunity to work under a wonderful principal, Dr. Sharon Isbell. I worked there for 3 years!
While working as an AP, I began my doctoral work at Baylor University in 2002. I graduated in 2005 after completing my dissertation on “Mentoring programs”. More School….again!
Administration Career • After three years at Denton Creek Elementary, I received the opportunity to become an middle school assistant principal at Coppell Middle School East. Although I was only there one year, it was a great learning experience and made me fall in love with middle school!
Administrative Career • My first principal job was at Timberline Elementary in Grapevine-Colleyville ISD. Timberline is a wonderful school that serves Pre-K- 5th grade and had a tremendous bilingual program. • I was the principal at Timberline for 4 years and each day was tremendous.
I have been the principal at CTMS for four years. It is a great school and I feel lucky to be here! Go Bulldogs!!
