  5. What group of people/person founded each one of the Northern Colonies? • Massachusetts- Puritans • Rhode Island- Roger Williams • Connecticut- Thomas Hooker • New Hampshire- King of England

  7. What does tolerance mean? A willingness to let others practice their own beliefs

  8. Why didn’t most people farm in the New England Colonies? Bad soil and bad weather
