List 2 – page 5 of study guide • Agnostic – a person who holds that the existence of the ultimate cause, as God, and the essential nature of things are unknown and unknowable • Teeming-- Be full of or swarming with • Lavaliere -- an ornamental pendant worn on a chain around the neck. • Laurels= any of various similar trees or shrubs • Gazelle - any small antelope of Africa and Asia, • Revel - to take great pleasure or delight (usually followed by “in” ) • Oblivion -- the state of being completely forgotten or unknown • Mogul – a rich and powerful person • Inconsequential -- of little or no importance; insignificant; trivial. • Stagnate -- to stop developing, growing, progressing, or advancing • Accost –to greet and walk beside someone
